ADDED Introduces Exporter Capabilities to ATLP via Abu Dhabi Export Gateway

The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) and Maqta Gateway, the digital arm of Abu Dhabi Ports, part of ADQ, one of the region’s largest holding companies with a broad portfolio of major enterprises spanning key sectors of Abu Dhabi’s diversified economy, have announced the incorporation of Abu Dhabi Export Gateway as part of the Advanced Trade and Logistics Platform (ATLP).

Designed to serve as a digital online repository for trade information, Abu Dhabi Export Gateway will collect, compile, and data-mine target markets and industry intelligence for insights that will enable Abu Dhabi-based exporters to identify and target new business opportunities overseas.

Following the new addition, ATLP, the platform developed and operated by Maqta Gateway under the supervision of ADDED, will now host export data pertaining to at least 100 high-quality local products from across 10 sectors within Abu Dhabi, and will hold the capability of exporting to 60 target markets worldwide with plans for additions in the near future.

His Excellency Rashed Abdulkareem Al Blooshi, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, said: “Abu Dhabi Export Gateway provides through ATLP platform exports data on more than 100 local products from 10 economic sectors in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It also provides great facilities for businessmen, enabling them to export their products to more than 60 markets around the world with the potential of expanding and upgrading its data to include new additions and services that focus on export markets regionally and internationally.”

His Excellency stressed the importance of the Abu Dhabi Export Gateway in enabling local exports companies in Abu Dhabi to target global markets for their products, whilst also expanding their contribution to the national GDP and elevating the UAE’s ranking as an international trade hub through collecting detailed exports intelligence, in addition to providing a viable comprehensive vision that contributes to the development of their trade transactions and enhances their potentials to benefit from opportunities in the markets.

Dr Noura Al Dhaheri, Head of Digital Cluster, Abu Dhabi Ports and CEO of Maqta Gateway, praised the new addition to ATLP indicating that this accomplishment represents a significant step towards efforts aimed at transforming the trade and logistics services system in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi into a unified digital work system through an integrated and comprehensive platform in line with the vision and directions of our wise leadership to build a sustainable national economy based on innovation. She added: “The Abu Dhabi Export Gateway will enhance our innovative platform and will empower Abu Dhabi’s exporters with a digital repository housing invaluable trade data that will enable them to benefit from opportunities to export their high-quality products and services.

Dr Al Dhaheri added: “In addition to providing exporters with powerful analytics that will allow them to target new business, the Abu Dhabi Exporter module will also prepare market research that enables exporters to be acquainted with the latest market trends and provides them with all necessary data to monitor, track and react to developing trends in real-time according to the needs of the business in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.”

The platform provides traders and sector experts with detailed export data, in addition to enabling them access integrated market research covering all sector needs, especially the main challenges, and analyse them in detail. This project is based on the work introduced by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, through which it succeeded in providing the necessary support to exporters in the emirate and enabling them to make informed decisions based on data and information that contributed to the development of their businesses.

The ATLP platform, which was launched in May 2020, is a future platform based on single window solutions. The main objective of the platform is to unify and facilitate trade and logistics activities in addition to linking the sea, land, air trade, and the work system of industrial and free zones with all regulatory bodies of these economic activities.
