While being a comprehensive plan to boost industrial development, competitiveness and investment, the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy (ADIS) will also promote Emiratisation:
- The strategy aims to create 13600 jobs with a focus on hiring local talent and developing the skills of Emirati nationals.
ADDED offers a range of incentives to businesses that hire Emiratis, including:
- The Abu Dhabi Local Content Programme: allocates a share of government procurements to manufacturers with ICV certificates. To receive ICV certificates, the company needs to achieve Emiratisation targets as well as promote a knowledge-based economy and adoption of advanced technology.
- The Energy Incentives Programme: encourages businesses to invest in advanced technologies, which in turn, creates career opportunities for Emiratis in the energy sector.
